5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake

A couple of years ago, Carianne sent us this cake. I have made it a couple of times - usually in the winter when I am craving carbs and chocolate. Just as a note - I am cleaning up some of my recipes from my emails so there are two other recipes following this one. I will probably be adding more either today or tomorrow. Enjoy!

4 Tablespoons flour
4 Tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons cocoa
a tiny pinch of salt (I just give the salt shaker a shake)
1 egg
3 Tablespoons milk
3 Tablespoons oil
3 Tablspoons chocolate chips (optional)
a drop of vanilla
1 large coffe mug
Add dry ingredients to mug. Mix the egg, milk, oil and vanilla together. Stir into the dry ingredients - mix well. Add the chocolate chips - if using and mix well.

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high). The cake will rise over the top of the mug but don't be alarmed! Allow the cake to cool a bit and tip out onto a plate if desired. Enjoy! This can be shared between 2 people if you are feeling virtuous and is absolutely amazing with whipped cream on top!

This is one of the most dangerous recipes in the world because it is only 5 minutes to chocolate cake - day or night! BEWARE!
